My agents rebuilt my website overnight

My agents rebuilt my website overnight. Before going to bed I gave them a clear goal. Make the site cleaner and optimize it for phones. And while I slept, the build agent redesigned the site page by page.

Why did a second agent check the work?

Because the agent that builds something should not be the one that grades it. It will be biased. It will love its own work, of course. So after the build agent was done, a separate checker agent came in, went through the site, and graded it against the plan.

That checker had objections. It found real problems: a row of numbers had gone nearly invisible on a pale background, and on a computer screen one of the photos had collapsed to a tiny thumbnail. So the build agent fixed the objections and waited for approval. This time, it passed.

Why does this matter beyond a website?

Because it is the same rule for any work you hand to AI. The value is not the agent that does the task. It is the separate checker that has no reason to go easy, and whose only job is to make sure the work follows the plan you set out from the beginning.

This is the whole security system built into how my agents run. Separate checkers sit between the work and me. Whoever does the work does not approve it.

Where do I stay in the loop?

The site is not live yet. Agents can build it, check it, and fix it, but publishing is a decision, and that call is mine. That is the line I keep on purpose. I get to wake up to work that already passed its own review, and still be the one who says go.
