My whole company is an org chart where every box is an AI agent

Picture your own company’s org chart. At the top, you. Under you a manager. Under them the departments: sales, support, content, operations. Every box is a person with a salary. Now keep that exact chart, but make every box below you an AI agent instead of a hire. That is how I run everything, and the point of this post is that the shape is not new at all.

What sits at the top?

One human. Me. That does not change, and it is not going to. Every decision that actually matters ends on my desk.

What is directly under you?

An agent that works like an operations manager. Think of it as my CEO. It does not do the tasks itself. Its job is to run the other agents, check their work, and hand me a short brief every morning: what shipped, what broke, and the one or two things that need my call. It is the layer that means I do not have to watch everything myself.

And under that?

The departments you already recognise from any company. A content agent that drafts and schedules the posts. A sales agent that writes the offers. A support agent that answers customer email. An agent that runs the stores. Each one owns its box the way a hired employee would, except it is software, it runs all day, and it never forgets to do its job.

So what actually changed?

Just one thing. What sits in each box. It is the same org chart every company has had for a hundred years: a top, a coordinator, departments. The only difference is that below me, each box is an agent instead of a salary. That is the whole idea, and it is why it feels familiar the moment you see it. You are not looking at something alien. You are looking at your own company with the seats filled differently.

Where does the human stay?

Right where it matters. Anything that spends money or goes public stops and waits for my yes. The agents do the work; I make the calls. An org run by agents is not an org with no human. It is an org with one human, kept on the decisions only a human should make.

Where should you start?

Not with the whole chart. That is the mistake. Start with one box, the most repetitive one you have, and hand that single job to an agent. Get that working, trust it, then add the next box. You build the org one seat at a time, same as you would with people.
